I want to start this review by saying I am not a paid reviewer nor did I receive this product with any type of discount. I have a dual-OS machine that runs Windows 10 and Linux Mint 17.3. On Windows 10, it was just plug n play. Windows Vista is no different than any other operating system in that, sooner or later, you will have networking issues. This could be caused by the OS (Vista in this case), misconfiguration by the user or IT Admin, network issues, or other causes. Stay Tuned for more on networking using Windows Vista. EDUP WiFi Adapter ac600Mbps Wireless USB Adapter 5.8GHz/2.4GHz Dual Band 600Mbps USB Adapter 2dBi External Antennas Supports Windows XP,Win Vista,Win 7,Win 8.1, Win 10,Mac OS X. Free Wifi For Windows VistaI plugged the device into an open USB slot and it worked almost immediately. No need to install drivers or set up any wireless management software that is included. On Linux Mint 17.3, I had a little bit of an issue getting the driver to compile. This adapter comes with Linux drivers, documentation, and an install script to compile the driver for you. Copy the Linux folder to your desktop, make the install.sh file executable, and then run it. After doing this I kept getting make errors, but dug through the included documentation a bit and found that the driver was optimized for kernel. So I have a Lenovo e545 laptop. Lenovo has a nasty habit of 'whitelisting' their add on cards, which means adding a special code to the pci-id so the BIOS will stop the boot if it doesn't have the lenovo code in it. How do I find this out?? I just moved to a comcast area and got a 60mbs modem. The standard 1 channel card in the lenovo only runs at 2.4 ghz. This means my download speed is.43 mbs!!! So i buy a dual band card from amazon for $14.99. Wifi Driver For Windows VistaI put it in the laptop, it dies at boot (see above). So I bite the bullet and get ready to buy a two band card from lenovo. I get lenovo parts on the phone and discover 1) None of the two band cards are in stock! Bought this for an older model desktop computer I have to use at work, a computer without Wifi capability. I was using a jury-rigged ethernet cable for connection to the internet. The ethernet cable was on the floor running approximately 50 feet, unsecured, from the outlet to my desktop computer - a safety hazard in itself. This Wifi adapter does the job. It came with a little installation CD for installing the required software. I was concerned there might be a possible loss of internet speed, but that was not the case at all. The ethernet cable is no longer needed. Fully satisfied with this product. Never having used an EDUP product before, I was skeptical of the product given it's low price point, but it did not fail to deliver. Installation Experience: I installed the adapter on a Samsung laptop with Windows 8.1 but there was a problem right off the bat. After completing the 1st step of the directions (simply inserting the device) the PC encountered an issue (& showed the Win8.1 quasi-BSOD) due to an issue with memory execution, automatically restarting after a few seconds. After this occurring 3 times, I instead decided to install the software 1st (by running the setup from the included CD) & THEN inserting the device, & this worked. The last popup during installation was for another driver being installed, but after waiting 2 hours for it to complete I went forward anyway (by inserting the device), without closing the window or letting it finish on it's own, & encountered. Worked right out of the box on my unusual system (2006 MacPro 1,1 'Cheese Grater' running Ubuntu 16.04LTS--I've had some trouble with other USB devices, but not this one). The USB extension cord and dock can be very helpful if you are using this with a desktop, as you have better ability to position your Wi-Fi receiver in a line of sight to your router. Unfortunately, as much as I like this product, I will have to return it because it ended up not being what I needed for the application at hand (a Facebook Live streaming computer for church services). After failing miserably with several other Wi-Fi adapters, this Panda seemed to be working well in test streams with fewer people in the building (even though the router's signal had to go through three walls--2 plaster, 1 brick); however, we had big crowds at church a couple Sundays before Christmas. When it comes to using USB dongles to stream stuff, it often raises questions. We want to know if cheap is still good, and part of what I like to do is offer my experiences and perspectives on just that sort of thing. For a few bucks, are we able to obtain the desirable, or the ‘good enough’ effect? Sometimes we find out that isn’t the caseSometimes prices are too good to be true, and the experience can be scarring. After all, we work hard for our few dollars, let’s put them to good use and find a way to balance affordable, acceptable, exceptional, and able. WiFi can be something that is scary to cheap out on. I myself tend to not go the cheap or affordable rout with my home networking. While that is a true statement for me, I also like to try affordable dongles for other people. Ordered this product due to my laptop with windows 10 not getting proper WIFI on the second level of my apartment in the study. I ordered this hoping it would increase the range and let me be able to access the internet upstairs. This product was easy to setup using the manual and the included software CDROM. I now have much better wifi range and speed vs the preinstalled wifi searching device on the Laptop that is only a couple years old. I was surprised how much better my internet speed and access is now. For a product that is only 15 bucks it is well worth it. I hope its longevity is good, but on the first day of use I am well pleased. If you need better range or speed, even if you have wifi already on your laptop this will dramatically increase both for you. I'm not a great writer and don't usually post reviews here, but I took a chance on this item and felt a need to share my experience. I have an old HP ProBook with Windows 10 and an 802.11n wifi adapter connected to a Linksys AC1900 dual band router. My ISP rates my service at up to 200 mbps and I regularly get 210 to 220Mbps on my wired desktop. On the laptop the download speed averages around 50Mbps. I looked at a lot of USB wifi adapters and I ended up choosing this one because of its AC compatibility with a 1200Mbps rating, its compact size, dual band and the USB 3.0. I downloaded the software from the link under the product description. ![]() Set up was a snap and I was connected in under 5 minutes. I tried it first in a USB 2.0 slot connected to the. Quick and easy to install and setup. Make sure you install drivers on the included disc before plugging the adapter in to your PC. The connection interface is easy and simple to use as well. I connected it to a friend's Win 7 PC that lives clear across the street from me so she could use my wifi on the 2.4 guest band. At my router on just wifi I get 160Mbps down and on her PC, clear across the street and thru several walls she gets 25Mbps down. It's quite a distance, about 125 ft, but it's good enough to watch Youtube with no buffering! Would definitely buy again. It was also very nicely packed in a gift type box and arrived exactly on time. This is a very great USB wifi adapter and is very useful if your computer is far away from your router like mine. Wireless Adapter For Windows VistaI get about 135 MBS connection speed according to ookla (an internet speed testing site.) and most of the time when downloading video game updates, an 11 MBS download rate. I would rate five stars if it wasn't for one thing. The Adapter came with its own software, that conflicted with windows. It tried to manage my connections on its own, and because of this, at first, I was only getting about 30 KBS download rate on certain things, but then I deleted the software, and it was fixed. If you buy this, do not insert the disk into the computer. Overall, I would say buy this, but do not download the software the comes with it via disk. And if you have it installed, make sure you delete. File format: ePub, PDF, Kindle, AudioBook File Name: Tratado De Audiologia - 2 Edicion.pdf Size: 26129 KB Uploaded: 2016/11/06 See the Glog!
